A little while ago, the lovely Jo asked if I would like to Guest Design for an upcoming Christmas Kickstart Challenge...well, if you've visited my blog before, it's probably not escaped your notice that I'm rather fond of making Christmas cards, so of course I said 'yes'!
So, today I'm sharing the card I made for this month's challenge, where the theme is:
I have a fairly comprehensive collections of 'Snowfolk', but my favourites are by Penny Black, so I combined a few of them from different clear stamp sets (L-R 'Jolly Friends', 'Snow Much Fun' & 'Holly-Jolly'). I stamped them on to watercolour paper, then joined up the snowy ground between them using a black gel pen, coloured them using watercolour pencils, then cut around the top of the image...and also around the middle snowman's snowballs! I used a piece of paper from the 'Mystery Marbles' pad by Craft Sensations for the background, adding a stamped sentiment (from an old set by Lili of the Valley), and the snowballs. I matted the panel on to some navy card, then added it all to a DL card blank.
So happy to have you as my elf this month, Helen! I know a lot of people will share your love of snowies. Love the card, Jo x
