Shine On!

I have something summery to show you today...I've used an Anya image from the 'Rain, Snow, Shine' set by Greeting Farm...bet you can't guess which one she is! I coloured her using watercolour pencils, then added some Glossy Accents to her sunglasses. The flip-flip and beachy papers are from the 'Shoreline' pad by American Crafts, and the 'sun' was cut from a page from the '72 & Sunny' pad by We R Memory Keepers. I doodled some borders using a black gel pen, and the sentiment stamp is from the 'Sending Sunshine' set by Simon Says Stamp.

Big Hugs

I hadn't inked up this stamp ('Hope & Grace - Snuggle' by the Greeting Farm) in such a long while, that when I had a stamping session at the weekend, I decided I must use it. I coloured her with watercolour pencils to match the 'Bloom & Grow' papers by My Mind's Eye. I used my EK Success 'Scalloped Diamond' punch, and Nesties for the scalloped edges, and added a few pieces of Card Candy and a sentiment by Cuddly Buddly.

Sending Sunshine

There are lots of summer themed challenges around at the moment...and for the moment at least...our weather seems to be co-operating! I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday...who are celebrating their birthday this week...Happy Birthday Sketch Saturday! The colour scheme of 'Pink & Green' is from the Creative Card Crew Challenge. I'll list the other challenges at the end of this post, as there's quite a few. The image is one of the 'Rain, Snow, Shine' Miss Anyas, and the papers are from the '29th Street Market' collection by My Mind's Eye.The flowers are from Poppicrafts, the sentiment stamp is from the 'Sending Sunshine' set by Simon Says Stamp, and I used an EK Success for the scalloped borders.

Fairy Dust

I had a little crafting session yesterday...had a play with some of my neglected stash...and made this card for a few challenges. I followed the Create4Fun sketch, and have used 'Fairy Tink' (by The Greeting Farm) for the 'Fairy' themed challenges at the My Time to Craft and Quixotic challenges. The papers are all from the 'Lemonade' pad by BasicGrey, and I used my Cuttlebug 'Birds & Swirls' and border folders (from the 'Just my type' set)...neither of which I've used in such a long time!

Snuggle

I dug out some of my older papers last weekend...the ones on this card are from the 'Two Scoops' pad by BasicGrey. I followed the sketch from Stampin' for the Weekend...and managed to include the themes from a couple of other challenges too: Anyone for Anya's 'Hearts'; and A Spoon Full of Sugar's 'Freestyle'. The image is 'Hope & Grace - Snuggle' by The Greeting Farm...and I used my Cuttlebug 'D'Vine Swirls' folder for the embossing...which I then lightly sanded to bring out the detail. The ribbon is from Poppicrafts, and the hearts were cut using the Cuttlebug 'Concentric Hearts' die.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Colour Theme

This week for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge...Donna has chosen a colour theme...with a photo to inspire you.

Taking inspiration from the colours from the cushions...I coloured my Miss Anya image to match the My Mind's Eye '29th Street Market' paper. I used my Cuttlebug 'Victoria' folder to emboss the green paper, sanding the raised pattern to emulate the pattern on the curtains. I added a few pieces of card candy, and some grosgrain ribbon to finish the card.

The rest of the design team has come up with some gorgeous creations this week...so make sure you check them out at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.

First card of 2010!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I have to say that 2010 has got off to great start for me...I've just discovered that I won the last Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge...and a fab prize package from Toodles & Binks...woo-hoo!

Well, on to my first card of 2010...well, actually it's my last card of 2009, but I didn't get around to photographing it yesterday. I used the sketch from Anyone for Anya to make a 'Thank you card' for the Creative Inspirations Challenge. I've used 'Miss Anya'...and coloured her to match some of my favourite My Mind's Eye '29th Street Market' papers. I embossed a couple of the papers using the Cuttlebug 'Victoria' and 'Textile' folders, which I then sanded to reveal the patterns. I distressed the edges of all the papers using my distressing tool, and added a few adhesive pearls, and a Hero Arts sentiment (from the 'Anytime Messages' set).

Snuggle

I've used the other of the new stamps I won in Elaine's WCMD candy for this fortnight's Sketch & Stash Challenge...'Hope & Grace - Snuggle' (by The Greeting Farm). I've combined it with the 'Autumn Colours' theme of this week's Anyone for Anya Challenge, and the 'Baby's & Children's Cards' theme of the Creative Card Crew Challenge...I'm going to send this card to one of the Post Pals children. The papers are by My Mind's Eye ('Bloom & Grow', and the flowers & brads are from Poppicrafts.

ABC Challenge - F is for...

I'm so excited...our new design team members are joining us for their first ABC Challenge this week! To break them in gently...we have a nice easy theme for you this week:

'F is for Flying'

We are very lucky to have a fabulous sponsor this week...Wendy from the Secret Crafter has donated a £20 voucher to spend in the Secret Crafter store as a prize for the winner of this challenge.

I decided to go with a fairy for the 'flying' element of my card...this little cutie is 'Fairy Chloe' by The Greeting Farm...I coloured her using watercolour pencils, and added some sparkle to her wings with a Sakura Stardust pen. The paper is from the 'Lemonade' pad by BasicGrey, the flowers and the teeny brads are from Poppicrafts, and the ribbon was a birthday present...but I think I've seen it at Poppicrafts too.

Make sure you stop by the ABC Challenge blog...our new DT members have really excelled themselves and created some really beautiful cards!

It's not a Christmas card!

I've been overdosing on Christmas cards recently...so I decided to have a go at Dawny's fab sketch over at the Anyone for Anya Challenge. I've combined it with the yummy sounding colour combo of 'Hot Pink, Dusky Pink and Ice Chocolate' of the Colour Create Challenge. I received the image in a swap...and as it wasn't stamped on a big enough piece of card to follow the sketch exactly...I added a few Poppicrafts flowers. The papers are by BasicGrey ('Blush' - the brown one) and My Mind's Eye ('Adore' the pink one), the sentiment stamp is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts, and I added some doodling, and faux stitching with a gel pen.

Sugar 'n' Spice...

..and 'All Things Nice'...that's the theme of the first Anyone for Anya Challenge...now I don't actually own any Anya stamps, but I do have a few Miss Anya images, that my lovely blogging friends have gifted to me, so I thought I'd have a go. The 'Sugar 'n' Spice' theme made me think of all things yummy...and what could be more delicious than BasicGrey 'Bittersweet' papers? lol I followed the Midnight Madness sketch, adding some Poppicrafts flowers, and a few pieces of Craftwork Cards card candy.
