Happy Hallowe'en!

I have one last Hallowe'en treat bag to share today, featuring another of the critters from the 'Be Very Scared' set by Penny Black. I stamped him on to watercolour paper, coloured him using watercolour pencils, then cut him out using one of my circle Nesties. I used papers from the 'Hocus Pocus' pad by Taylored Expresions...distressing the edges a little, and adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Carol Singers

I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today...featuring a couple of the critters from the 'Carol Singers' set by Lili of the Valley. I stamped them on to watercolour paper, then coloured them using watercolour pencils. I used a music embossing folder that I recently picked up from Hobbycraft (it's in their Christmas range, but as far as can tell the music on it isn't Christmassy) for the background...embossing some plain-ish blue paper (I think it's by Craft Creations), then lightly sanding over the surface to reveal some of the white core. I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching before mounting on my cards. The sentiment stamp is also by Lili of the Valley.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

The Cat in the Hat

I have another Hallowe'en treat bag to share today...the image on this one is from the 'Spooky' set by Penny Black. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, coloured it using watercolour pencils, then cut it out using one of my oval Nesties. I used snippets of paper from the 'Hocus Pocus' pad by Tayored Expressions to make a patchwork effect background...distressing the edges a little, and adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Witchy Mouse Treat bag

I have another Hallowe'en treat bag to share today...I used another Penny Black image from the 'Be Very Scared' set, which I stamped on to watercolour paper, and coloured using watercolour pencils. I made a simple background by stamping my Simon Says Stamp 'Abstract Triangles' stamp using Versamark Ink on purple card, then heat embossed it with 'Halloween' embossing glitter from WOW...it's a really pretty mixture of black and orange. I distressed all of the edges, then added  piece of black lacy trim before adding it to my treat bag.

It's always so difficult to show just how sparkly and pretty the WOW embossing glitters are in photographs...but here's a different angle:

PBSC October - Anything Goes (Optional ' Black, White & One Other Colour')

It's the first Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge...where the theme is:

'Anything Goes'
or
'Black, White & One Other Colour'

As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome 1-2-3 Stitch:
Prize - a $20 voucher!

I used the colour combination...adding orange...to decorate a Hallowe'en treat bag. Pairing one of the images from the 'Be Very Scared' set with papers from the 'Apothecary' pad by Echo Park. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to embossing the pumpkins on the plain-ish orange paper...sanding over the surface to reveal some of the white core. I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black pen.

I'm also entering this bag into the following challenges:

Chicken Gift Tags

I have a couple of simple little gift tags to share today...featuring Penny Black chicken stamps. The first one is for a birthday gift...and uses the stamp 'Present Pile'...which I coloured using watercolour pencils, then carefully cut him out. I added a sentiment (from the 'Birthday Critters' set by Paper Smooches' and a few strips of washi tape to a plain kraft tag, then added my chicken on top using 3D foam pads.

My second tag is for a Father's Day gift...and features a chicken from the '12 Days of Christmas' set...he's the 'French Hen'. Again, I coloured him using watercolour penils, and cut him out. This time I stamped a 'Chicken Wire' background stamp (by Darkroom Door) on to my tag using Versamark Ink, and heat embossing it using silver embossing powder. I added some sentiments (from the 'Sentiments' set by Hero Arts, and 'Laugh Out Loud Again' set by Clearly Besotted) and the chicken over the top on 3D foam pads.

Easter Treat Boxes

I have some little Easter treat boxes to share today. They measure 4x4x4 inches, and were each made form a single sheet of 12x12 paper from the 'Bright Freshness' pad by Craft Sensations (they're double sided so even the inside is pretty!). I used my We R Memory Keepers punchboard to make the boxes...so quick and simple...when you make the largest size (like these are), there's no measuring or cutting at all...just some scoring and punching, then folding. I added a mini kraft tag (from Hobbycraft) to each one...stamping a Hero Arts sentiment on one side (from the 'Sentiments' set), then attaching them using baker's twine.

Tattered Christmas Trio

I have a trio of simple Christmas cards to share today...using a few of the stamps from the Tim Holtz 'Tattered Christmas' set (for Stampers Anonymous) and their matching dies (which I picked up in the post-Christmas sale at Simon Says Stamp). I coloured and cut these a few weeks ago, but couldn't decide what to do with them, so simply stamped a matching sentiment (from the same stamp set) on to my kraft card blanks, then added some strips of gold washi tape along the top and bottom before popping the die cut images on with some 3D foam pads.

Kraft & Gold Gift Wrap & Giftcard Holder

I've been busy wrapping presents today...and have a couple of simple ideas to share. I wrapped everything using kraft paper with gold polkadots (a bargain from the clearance section in Home Sense), and had previously made a set of personalised gift tags, so decorated a plain kraft gift bag to match. I stamped my Stampendous 'Delicate Snowflakes' stamps on to the bag using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them with 'Metallic Gold Sparkle' embossing glitter by WOW.

Using some of the wrapping paper, I made a simple folded giftcard holder (I followed this tutorial by Kristina Werner)

I threaded some gold ribbon through a channel at the back, and tied it in a bow to hold it closed.

Christmas Gift Boxes

I have some little Christmas gift boxes to share today. They were made using my We R Memory Keepers punch board...and once assembled measure 4x4x4 inches. I make some of these every year, and this time I didn't have enough suitably thick 12x12 papers, so used sheets of American Crafts card, and then decorated them with snippets of papers from my 'Wonderful Winter' and 'Countdown to Christmas' pads by My Mind's Eye. I distressed the edges of the papers a little, then added some faux stitching using my Cutterbee Bug and a black gel pen. I made a small tag to match each one, decorating each with a matching piece of paper, then attached them to the boxes with some twine.

Little Star

I have a simple little Christmas card to share today...featuring an old James the Bear stamp by Lili of the Valley, called 'Little Star'. I coloured him using watercoour pencils, adding some gold to his star using a gel pen, then carefully cut him out. I added some strips of gold and red washi tape (by Dovecraft & Hobbycraft) to a white card blank, then popped James the Bear on top using 3D foam pads. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous.

Sparkly Flower Gift Wrap

I have another decorated gift bag and matching tag to share today...this time using the 'Doodled Flowers' stamp set by Happy Little Stampers, and lots of WOW embossing glitters (colours used: Magical Mauve, Coral Reef, Emerald City, Peacock Flowers)

I used stamps from the 'Everyday Sentiments' set (also by Happy Little Stampers) to make the sentiment on the bag.

Butterfly Gift Bag

I'm taking a little break from blogging Christmas cards to share a decorated gift bag and tag that I made to match this card. I stamped the 'Big Butterfly' stamp (by IndigoBlu) several times on to a plain kraft bag using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them with 'Midnight Dream' embossing glitter by WOW. I did the same on a plain kraft tag, adding a Hero Arts sentiment (from the 'Fabulous Birthday' set).

Xmas Pilgrims

I have a simple little Christmas card to share today...featuring an older Penny Black stamp called 'Xmas Pilgrims'. I coloured the image using watercolour pencils and added it to my card blank over the top of a couple of strips of washi tape (which I think came from Hobbycraft). The sentiment stamp is from a set by Lili of the Valley.

Count Cat-ular Treat Bag

I have another Halloween treat bag to share today...using a Penny Black image from the 'Be Very Scared' set, which I coloured using watercolour pencils. The papers are from the Taylored Expressions 'Hocus Pocus' pad. I doodled some simple borders using a white gel pen. The sentiment stamp was  charity shop find, and I'm not sure of the brand as it has no markings on it.
