You Are the Bestest!

I've been making so many Christmas cards lately, that my other stamps have been rather neglected...so I inked up 'You are the bestest' (by Penny Black) to make a much needed birthday card...my supplies are running very low! It's a simple one layer card, with the image coloured using watercolour pencils, and a sentiment from a 'Daisy & Dandelion' stamp set.

Shabby Dandelion

I haven't joined in with the Just Christmas & Birthday Cards Challenge for a while...but I fell for their sketch this week, so I just had to have a play. I've made a lot of Christmas cards lately...and there are a lot of birthdays coming up next month, so I've used it to make a birthday card this time. The image is from the 'Daisy & Dandelion Birthday' set...I think it's Dandelion, but it doesn't say on the packaging. I used my favourite papers...'29th Street Market' by My Mind's Eye...apologies to my regular visitors...I know I use them a lot...but this time I have an excuse...the Stamp Something Challenge is asking us to use our favourite colours or papers this week...so I just had to! I've also gone a bit 'Shabby'...roughing up the edges with some ink and my distressing tool...so I'm also entering this card for this week's Everybody Art Challenge. I made the 'lollipop' flowers using my Nesties, added some faux-stitching around the edges of the papers, and the sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.

Pickles or Onion?

I'm busy trying to get ready for next term...so I've been limiting my crafting time this week, but I found a little time last night to use one of my new Daisy & Dandelion stamps (from the 'Birthday' set)...but I'm not sure if this cute little heffalump is Pickles or Onion? I used the Pink Elephant Challenge sketch...so I guess I should really have coloured him pink...lol...but I'd already coloured him in the 'Pink & Grey' colour combination of the Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge. I couldn't find any grey card...so I tinted the edges of some plain white card using a chalk inkpad...and used some plain pink papers I found in my BasicGrey 'Bittersweet' pad...embossing one with my 'Spots & Dots' and 'Swiss Dots' folders. Th sentiment is from the same D&D set, the flowers are from Poppicrafts, and the ribbon was part of my birthday RAK form my lovely ABC DT mate Vicky.

No more crafting for me today...I've packed all my stash to take away for the weekend...so it's back to work for the rest of the day :0(
