Pile It On! Challenge - Scales/Feathers and/or No Patterned Papers

It's the third Sunday of the month, so we have more inspiration and a bonus theme for this month's Pile It On! Challenge. The themes this month are:

'Feathers and/or Scales'
&
No Patterned Paper
(You can do either or...or combine the themes for more fun!)

Our sponsor this month is Ike's Art:
Prize - $15 voucher to spend in Ike's Art Store!

I went with feathers again...and used an 'oldie but a goodie' from Penny Black called 'Present Pile', which I coloured using watercolour pencils. I fussy cut the chicken, then made a simple background for her adding strips of washi tape (from Dovecraft & Tiger) to a square of plain white card. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

Here are the challenges I've piled on:

Toby with Flowers

I have a quick and simple card to share today...I made it a couple of weeks ago along with this card using the same layout. The image is 'Toby with Flowers' by Wild Rose Studio, which I coloured using watercolour pencils then fussy cut out. I added some strips of washi tape (from Freckled Fawn, Papermania & Tiger) and a sentiment stamp from the 'Handwritten Borders' set by Simon Says Stamp.

Present Pile Gift Wrap & Tag

I have some simple gift-wrap and a tag to share today...it's my Dad's birthday present to go with this card that I blogged earlier this week...you may have spotted there's a bit of a chicken theme! This one is 'Present Pile' by Penny Black, which I coloured using watercolour pencils, simply cutting him out, and adding him to a tag covered in washi tape. I used some more of the washi tape on the present, then attached my tag using some multicoloured twine that I picked up in TKMaxx.

Simple Gift Tag

Work has been rather busy this half-term, and I keep getting behind with my blogging...but it's half-term next week...so hopefully I'll have some time to play! Anyway...I made this tag to go on the present I gave my brother for his birthday last week. I started with a plain luggage tag (from Hobbycraft), and added some strips of washi tape (from Freckled Fawn, Hobbycraft & Tiger) to make a colourful background. I cut a star shape using one of my Nesties, then embossed it using my Cuttlebug 'Spots & Dots' folder...then attached a hand cut banner shape stamped with a Studio G sentiment using a staple. I inked around the edges of everything using a little 'Brushed Corduroy' Distress Ink. I picked up the multicoloured twine in TKMaxx...but it has no brand on it.

ABC Christmas Challenge - V is for...

We have another ABC Christmas Challenge starting today...Wilma is the host, and the theme is:

 'V is for Vixen'
(Feature a Reindeer)

We are sponsored for this challenge by:

Prize - a $10 voucher for the Sweet Stamps store!

and:

QKR Stampede:
Prize: 5 Digital Images of the winner's choice!

I've used a Penny Black reindeer called 'Deer in Skates', which I coloured using watercolour pencils. The papers are from the 'Blitzen' pad by Bo Bunny...there's even some reindeer on one of the papers. I distressed the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The snowflake was cut using my Cuttlebug 'Ice Crystal' die, the button is from my stash, and the blue twine is from Tiger.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything but a Card

It's the first Saturday of the month...so that means it's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge...and this month the theme is:
'Anything but a Card'

As usual, we have some fabulous prizes on offer from our lovely sponsors:

Prize - a $20 voucher

I've made a little post-it note cover...using 'Toot the Flute', and some little alphabet stamps from a set by Clear Stamps.

I simply cut a piece of kraft card big enough to fold over the post-its, then glued them on to the base once I'd stamped and coloured my image...the kraft coloured post-it notes are from Tiger.

Two Hedgies in a Boat

I've used some new goodies on today's card...the stamp 'Fishing' by Penny Black...I won on the Penny Black & More @ Allsorts Challenge last month...which goes perfectly with these papers from the 'Shoreline' pad that I picked up at TK Maxx just a couple of days before. I kept the card really simple, adding some faux stitching and a button tied on with some blue string.
