Easter Treat Boxes

I have some little Easter treat boxes to share today. They measure 4x4x4 inches, and were each made form a single sheet of 12x12 paper from the 'Bright Freshness' pad by Craft Sensations (they're double sided so even the inside is pretty!). I used my We R Memory Keepers punchboard to make the boxes...so quick and simple...when you make the largest size (like these are), there's no measuring or cutting at all...just some scoring and punching, then folding. I added a mini kraft tag (from Hobbycraft) to each one...stamping a Hero Arts sentiment on one side (from the 'Sentiments' set), then attaching them using baker's twine.

Bunny Friends

I have one last Easter treat bag to share today. I used a couple of the bunnies from the 'Bunny Friends' stamp by Penny Black...I love using parts of the larger image (there are five bunnies in total). I coloured the image using watercolour pencils, then cut it out using one of my circle Nesties. The papers are from the 'Recollections - Charming' pad from Michaels (found at TKMaxx). I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Egg-cellent Easter Wishes' set by Amy R/C C Designs.

Totally Excited!

I have another Easter treat bag to share today...this one features a Penny Black chicken stamp called 'Totally Excited', which I coloured using watercolour pencils. I added a sentiment from the 'Egg-cellent Easter Sentiments' set by Amy R/C C Designs, then cut it out using one of my circle Nesties. The papers are from the 'Indie Chic - Nutmeg' pad...I distressed the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

I combined the themes to make an Easter treat bag, cutting squares and circles from patterned papers (from the 'Happy Day' pad by My Mind's Eye), and layering them up. Guest Designer - Pixie's Snippets Playground

I was thrilled to be asked by the lovely Di to guest design for Pixie's Snippets Playground Challenge this week! I have a mountain of snippets...which despite my best efforts, seems to get bigger the more I craft...so this is one of my favourite challenges to play along with!

For my project, I decorated an Easter treat bag and used lots of snippets from my 'Now & Then' paper pad by My Mind's Eye. I used some of those long thin snippets you get when you cut a full sheet down to make a background, and a really teeny tiny snippet for some paper piecing. I distressed all of the edges of the papers, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The image is 'Spring Chick' by Penny Black...I coloured it using watercolour pencils, then paper pieced the egg shell...adding a little shading with a pencil. The sentiment is from the 'Egg-cellent Easter Sentiments' set by Amy R/C. C. Designs...I stamped & matted that on snippets too. I added a mixture of co-ordinating paper flowers (by Prima, papermania & Poppicrafts), held in place with BasicGrey brads.

I picked turquoise and brown as my two other colours, and made an Easter treat bag. I created a little scene using papers from the 'Here + There' pad by Studio Calico (the sky) and the 'Farmhouse' pad by Crate Paper (the grass). I used one of my Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Hillside' border dies to cut the curve, and a Die-namics 'Grassy Edge' die. I added a fence cut from brown card using my Die-namics 'Picket Fence' die and a sentiment (from the 'Egg-cellent Easter Sentiments' set by Amy R/C C Designs stamped in a speech bubble cut from a snippet of kraft card using a Sizzix Thinlit/Craft Asylum die.
