Pile It On! Challenge - Shaped Cards

We have another fun Pile It On! Challenge starting today...and the theme is:

'Shaped Cards'

Our sponsor this month is Crafty Sentiments
Prize - 3 Digis of the winner's choice!

I made a little 'cracker' shaped card...which is really known as a 'diamond fold' using a piece of double sided paper by Bo Bunny called 'Rejoice Adorned'. I simply added a Lili of the Valley pre-coloured die cut image from the 'Traditional Christmas' sheet. I used one of my circle Nesties to trim it down, and matted it on to some green card cut into a scalloped circle. I added some sparkle to the snowflakes and ornaments on the image using a glitter gel pen.

It folds flat into a neat little 4x4 square for posting:

Penny Black Calendar 2016

I have a Penny Black calendar to share today...every year I decorate a few of the Paper Mill 'Create a Calendar' blanks for Christmas gifts...this is the one that I made for my Mum. This calendar is one of the A4 size ones...and I mounted each month on to kraft card cut to A6, so that once the calendar is finished it can be recycled into a set of simple cards. The images are all by Penny Black...I kept the layout very simple with a little doodling, and the papers are a real mixture (American Crafts, Bo Bunny, Crate Paper, Dovecraft, My Mind's Eye & Studio Calico). Apologies for the rather dark photos...these were taken on Boxing Day when the weather was dull and grey :0(

Happy Halloween!

I have one last Halloween treat bag to share today...this one is a teeny tiny one...the recipient is on a diet, so I only included tiny treats! The cute spider is from the 'Be Very Scared' set by Penny Black...I coloured him using watercolour pencils, then added some googly eyes on top of his spectacles. The papers are from the 'Who-hooligans!' collection by Bo Bunny...I've had these papers for years, and these were the last few snippets...just the right size for a little treat bag...so I'll need to pick up some new ones for next year! I inked around the edges using 'Black Soot' Distress Ink, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a white gel pen.

Count Catular

I have another Halloween treat bag to share today...using another Penny Black image...this one's from the 'Be Very Scared' set. The papers are a mixture of  'Whoo-ligans' by Bo Bunny and 'Boo to You!' by My Mind's Eye...I inked all of the edges using 'Black Soot' Distress Ink. I lightly distressed them, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a white gel pen. I added a few bats cut using a Memory Box die.

Pile It On! Challenge - Recipe

We have another new Pile It On! Challenge starting today...with a nice and simple theme:

'Recipe: 1 of Something, 2 of Something & 3 of Something'

We are sponsored for this challenge by Stitchy Bears Digital Outlet:

I used the recipe to decorate a Halloween treat bag using 1 image, 2 spiderwebs & 3 papers. The image is from the 'Be Very Scared!' set by Penny Black...I coloured him using watercolour pencils. The spiderwebs were cut using my Memory Box 'Creepy Web' die, and the papers are from the 'Whooligans!' collection by Bo Bunny. I distressed the edges of everything using 'Black Soot' Distress Ink, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a white gel pen. The plain bag is from Hobbycraft.

Penny Black Calendar 2

I have another of the Paper Mill Shop's 'Create a Calendars' to show you today. It's quite similar to the one I shared last week...using lotsmore Penny Black stamps, and some of my favourite papers. Again, I kept everything really simple, just using papers..no embellishments, as I didn't want them to end up too bulky (or heavy!)...I won't list all the different stamps & papers used, but if you're a regular visitor to my blog, you'll recognise my favourites! :0)

Penny Black Calendar 1

Every year, I decorate a few of the Paper Mill Shop's 'Create a Calendars' to give as Christmas presents...usually using lots of Penny Black stamps. I managed to photograph two of them before I gave them away...and am sharing the first one today. I kept everything really simple, just using papers..no embellishments, as I didn't want them to end up too bulky (or heavy!)...I won't list all the different stamps & papers used, but if you're a regular visitor to my blog, you'll recognise my favourites! :0)
