ABC Christmas Challenge - L & M are for?

It's the second Wednesday of a new month, so that means it's time for a new ABC Christmas ChallengeCarol is the host, and the themes are:

'L is for Lots of Layers'
&

'M is for Mice'

The prize on offer for one lucky winner is this set of Altnew stamps:

For my 'L is for Lots of Layers' card, I used a Hunky Dory image called 'Trimming the Tree'...stamping it on to watercolour apper, and colouring it using watercolour pencils. I paired it with papers from the 'Jolly Santa' pad from The Works...distressing the edges a little, and adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

The mouse on my 'M is for Mice' card, is 'XMouse Ornament' by Penny Black. I stamped him directly on to a kraft card blank, then coloured him using watercolour pencils before adding a touch of sparkle to his snowflake using some Stickles. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Wintertime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

I'm also entering these cards into the following challenges:

Arranged with Love

Today's card features another new stamp I recieved for Christmas...'Arranged with Love' by Hunkydory Stamps. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I paired it with a couple of patterned papers from the 'Bumblebee's Dance' pad by The Paper Boutique...I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the Memory Box 'Signature Greetings' set.

Stocking Surprise

Today's card features another Christmas gift...a cute Hunky Dory stamp set called 'Stocking Surprise'. I stamped the images on to watercolour paper, then coloure them using watercolour pencils. I paired it with papers from the 'Home for Christmas' pad by Violet Studio...distressing all of the edges, and then adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Silver Bells' set by Kaiserkraft...it's actually in the centre of a bauble outline, so I masked off the outline before inking with Versamark Ink, then stamped it on to a snippet of kraft card, and heat embossed in white before cutting it out using one of my circle Nesties.

PBSC September - Anything Goes (Optional 'Embossing')...More Inspiration!

It's the third Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for some more inspiration for this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge...where the theme is:

'Anything Goes'
or
'Embossing (Wet or Dry)'

As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome 1-2-3 Stitch:
Prize - a $20 voucher!

I used dry embossing on my first card for this month's challenge, so went with wet (heat) ebossing this time. The image I used is called 'Warm Reception', and I stamped it on to a piece of navy card, using white pigment ink, then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I did the same with the sentiment (from the Hunky Dory 'Trimming the Tree' set), then trimmed the panel down a little before adding it to a white card blank.
