Today's card features another charity shop find...not a stamp this time, but a Cuttlebug embossing folder called 'Christmas Ornaments'. I embossed a snippet of watercolour affect paper (from the 'Mystery Marbles' pad by Craft Sensations) with the folder, then lightly sanded over the raised edges to reveal a little of the white core. I then cut a bauble from another snippet of paper from the same pad using one of my Sizzix 'Intricate Baubles' dies, hand cutting a matching plain bauble from a snippet of silver mirror card to layer behind it. More snippets for the little bauble 'cap' and 'string' for it to hang from, all layered up and mounted on the embossed background using 3D foam pads. I die cut the sentiment from another snippet of the silver card using Creative Expressions die, then matted it all on to yet more silver card before adding it to my card blank.

What a gorgeous festive card. I like the sound of your local charity shops if you can find craft stuff in them!

I'm helping Miss Di out with commenting on Snippets Playground entries, but she's making a rapid recovery, so come and join in the mischief up at the Tree House before she can start climbing the rope ladder again!

Thanks for playing in the Snippets Playground.
Hugs from the Snippets Head Prefect. x

Wonderful card Helen - and the sentiment die looks a bit familiar as well. Love the colours you used too!
