Pile It On! - Cute & Cuddly

It's time for another challenge over at Pile It On! And this week, the theme is:

'Cute & Cuddly'

We are sponsored this week by Meljen's Designs...who are very generously donating 4 digi stamps as a prize for the lucky winner of this challenge.

For my card, I've used a Lili of the Valley image called 'Thomas - Big Bunch of Flowers'...definitely cute & cuddly! I coloured him using watercolour pencils, and added a touch of sparkle to the flowers with a Sakura Stardust pen. The papers are from the '29th Street Market' collection by My Mind's Eye - I distressed all of the edges, and added some faux stitching with my CutterBee Bug and a white gel pen. I used an EK Success punch for the scalloped border and the sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts (from the 'Fabulous Birthday' set). The flowers are a mixture of Prima, Poppicrafts & Sarah's Cards, and the raffia lace is from Hobbycraft.

Here's a list of the other challenges I've 'Piled On':
Don't forget to stop by and check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the Pile It On! Design Team.

If you haven't already entered...I have candy on offer here.

Colour Create Challenge #9

I'm cutting it fine with my card for the Colour Create Challenge...but I couldn't resist the gorgeous colour combo of 'Lilac and Blue'...not to mention the fab candy they have up for grabs!
I've used 'Musing Melinda' by Whiff of Joy for my main image, with a sentiment stamp by Pollycrafts. The backing paper is from the Inspirations 'Warm Tones' pad by Papermania, the flowers are a mixture of Poppicrafts and Sarah's Cards Ltd, and the raffia lace is from Hobbycraft. I've also managed to include the 'extras' of 'Ribbons & Swirls' with the organza ribbon tied around the panel embossed with the Cuttlebug 'D'Vine Swirls' folder.

Sketch Saturday meets ABC...

I love this week's Sketch Saturday sketch...plenty of space for lots of lovely papers and flowers - which is the 'F' for the ABC Challenge this week. I'm a paper flower addict, so I'd probably be able to enter all of the cards I make this week for their challenge, but if I don't do it now...I'll probably forget! lol I've used a stamp from the 'Hugs' set by Penny Black for my main image (which also has flowers on it), and papers from the 'Blush' range by BasicGrey. The flowers are a mixture from Poppicrafts and Sarah's Cards Ltd, and the brads are by Papermania. In place of the scalloped edge, I've used a piece of lace from Hobbycraft.

Christmas with Colour Create and a Spoon Full of Sugar

I've used this week's Colour Create colour combination, of 'Red & Green' to make my Christmas card for the week following the fab sketch from the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge. My main image is a Stampavie stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller ('Teddy Bear'), and the papers are by BasicGrey (from the 'Figgy Pudding' range). The sentiment is from a clear set by Studio G, and the flowers are a mixture of Prima and Sarah's Cards Ltd.

Pink Elephant meets Colour Create

I've only just managed to get this card made in time using the Pink Elephant Challenge sketch. I've used the colour scheme of this week's Colour Create challenge which is 'Blue & Brown', and included the optional extras - 'Lace and Pearls'. My image is 'Lola with Bird' by Rachelle Anne Miller (from Sugar Nellie), the papers are from the 'Granola' pad by BasicGrey, and the lace is from Hobbycraft. In place of the flourish on the sketch, I've used a spray of flowers (from Sarah's Cards Ltd).

Three Challenges in One...Again!

I'd love to have the time to make a separate card for every challenge, but only having the time to craft at the weekends, means that I always end up combining. This card is for 3 challenges: I've used the sketch for this week's Just Christmas & Birthday Cards challenge; which fitted perfectly with the BasicGrey Challenge theme of 'Pockets'; and as it looks the bunnies are magically appearing (a stretch...I know! lol), I'm also entering this for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is 'Animal Magic'.
The images I've used are from the Penny Black stamp 'Bunny Friends' - I masked of most of the stamp, so that I could used these smaller images. All of the papers are from the BasicGrey 'Blush' range, the flowers are a mixture of Poppicrafts, and Sarah's Cards Ltd, the lace raffia is from Hobbycraft, and all the brads are by Papermania.
Here's a view of the card with the tab in the pocket:

And with the tab removed:

I thought the raffia kind of looks like the bunnies are talking over a picket fence.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #5

The theme for The Sugar Bowl's fifth challenge is 'Christmas' - luckily one of the few Sugar Nellie stamps I own is a snowman one! I've coloured him to match the BasicGrey 'Figgy Pudding' papers, and have kept the card quite simple, as the image is fairly large, and the papers quite busy. The flowers are a mixture of Prima and Sarah's Cards Ltd, the parcel brad is by Dovecraft, and the lace is from Hobbycraft.

Three Challenges in One...

I've managed to combine three challenges on this wallet card: the sketch from Stamp with Stampavie; the colour scheme, of blue & brown, of the ABC Challenge; and the theme of 'Love & Friendship' of the Roses on Paper challenge blog. I've used the 'Rainy Days' stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller, watercoloured to match the BasicGrey 'Granola' papers. The flowers are from Sarah's Cards Ltd, the brads are by Papermania, and the sentiment is from a cute little set by Studio G.

Sketch & Stash Challenge #4

The new challenge over on the Sketch and Stash challenge blog is a real toughie. I found it really difficult to decide what to do, and to find two suitable images, and in the end settled for 'Henry - Celebrating Mouse' by Whiff of Joy, and one of the stamps from the 'Cupcakes' set by Hero Arts, with a candle added in the top to try to make it look the same as Henry's cupcake, on a square gatefold card. The sentiment stamp is from the same Hero Arts set, and although I chose to use 'yum!' rather than 'seize the cupcake!' (which really would have been perfect, but it was too big!), I still had to put the sentiment lower down on the card, so as not to cover any of the images. My 'new' item is the stripey paper (Blush - 'Boyfriend' by BasicGrey). I think that the flowers are from Sarah's Cards Ltd, and the brads are by Papermania.

Friday Sketchers #36

I've spent all morning playing about with bits'n'pieces trying to decide what to do with this week's Friday Sketchers sketch...it's not my usual style, and I'm not entirely happy with the finished result, but I thought it might be good for me to get out of my comfort zone, and try a bit of distressing!
My main image is by Sugar Nellie ('MacBeth), the patterned paper is by DCWV ('Far East' stack), the sentiment stamp is by Whiff of Joy, the flowers are from Sarah's Cards, and the ribbon, brads and beads are from my stash.
