Happy New Year everyone! What better way to start 2018 than with a Christmas card!?!?! This one features a Lili of the Valley image ('Polar Pals') coloured using watercolour pencils, and a new (to me) 'Snowfall' embossing folder by Tim Holtz/Sizzix. I started by embossing a piece of watercolour paper that I'd previously 'smooshed' with lots of different blue Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Broken China, Salty Ocean & Chipped Sapphire), then lightly sanded over the raised surface to reveal the white core to complete the snowy sky effect. I carefully cut around the top of my image, the placed it over the background, adding a sentiment (from a Lili of the Valley set).
