Toot the Flute!

I've been hankering after this stamp for ages...so I just had to include it in my little haul from Simon Says Stamp...it's called 'Toot the Flute' by Penny Black. I coloured it with watercolour pencils, then inked the edges to give a vintage feel. The music behind him is actually recycled from my scrap pile (I print out a lot of sheet music for work, and keep any rough drafts for scrap paper) - I inked it to 'age' it with 'Brushed Corduroy' Distress Ink. The spotty paper is from the 'Festive Frost' collection by My Mind's Eye, and the sentiment stamp is from the 'Cupcakes' set by Hero Arts. I used the 'Swiss Dots' border folder (from the 'Just My Type' Cuttlebug set) to emboss some Core'dinations card, sanding it lightly to reveal the contrasting core...and of course, no card would be complete without distressing the edges a little...my excuse is, that it's very theraputic!
