Penny Black Saturday Challenge meets the Creative Card Crew

I've combined the colour challenge of 'Black, White & One Other' of the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, with the 'Embossing' theme of this week's Creative Card Crew Challenge on this card. Black & White cards always look so stylish, so I thought I'd try to make something elegant...which ruled out all but one of my Penny Black stamps! lol So, I've used 'Constellations', which has been embossed in 'Black Sparkle' embossing powder. I scored a few lines across the white card, before embossing the top and bottom portions with the 'Swiss Dots' folder. I then stamped a Whiff of Joy sentiment, and tied a piece of jade green ribbon between those lines. I finished off by adding a few black adhesive pearls.

Although this is not my usual style, I quite like the way it's turned out...although, now I see it on screen...I can't help thinking it looks rather like a Sympathy card...which is not what I set out to make at all!
