It's the first Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge...where the theme is:
'Anything Goes'
or
or
'Something New'
As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome 1-2-3 Stitch:
My 'Something New' is the New Year. Each Christmas, I decorate a couple of the blank calendars from Paper Mill to give as gifts, and this is the one I did for my Mum. I used Penny Black images (of course) for each month, and combined papers from lots of different pads...managed to use up a fair few snippets too! I distressed all of the edges, and added faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen, then matted everything on to kraft card before adding to the calendar.
I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
- Lil Red Wagon - New Beginnings
- Simon Says Stamp (Wednesdays) - Something New (New Year)
- Use Your Stuff - Stitching (Faux or Real)
For more inspiration from my lovely DT buddies, please pop over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

ReplyDeleteI had to do a double-take when you said your stitching is faux. It looks real and dimensional. Well done and thanks for joining us at Use Your Stuff.
