Chocolate Wreath

Every Christmas since 2012, I have made a Quality Street chocolate wreath for my family - still using the original polystyrene ring! This year, due to the ever decreasing number of chocolates in a tub (barely enough to cover the ring anymore), and the sad-looking, dull paper wrappers, I decided to switch to a selection box from M&S...they're in lovely shiny papers (devoid of any branding). As always, I used a hot glue gun to attach the chocolates to the wreath, and added some silver glittery ribbon to hang it with.

Quality Street Wreath

Todays, I'm sharing my 'Quality Street' wreath. I make one of these every year...a much nicer way to give the chocolates! I made the first one in 2012, and the polystyrene wreath shape I used then is still going strong! I use a hot glue gun to attach the sweets to the wreath shape...I'm still not a fan of the paper wrappers - the old foil and cellophame ones were so much prettier...and each year there's more and more yellow!

Quality Street Wreath

Today I'm sharing my annual Quality Street chocolate wreath! I made the first one back in 2012...and am still re-using the same polystyrene ring as the base! The chocolates are glued on to the polystyrene ring using a hot glue gun. Every year there are fewer and fewer chocolates in the tub - the first year there were too many chocolates to fit on the wreath, and now there are lots of spaces on the back! I'm also not sure whether I like the new paper wrappers - they have a really dull finish...and are no way near as pretty as the old foil and cellophane ones...and there's SO much yellow! Anyway, it will taste just as good!
