Bunny Friends Easter Treat Bag

I have another Easter treat bag to share today...this one features a couple of the rabbits from the 'Bunny Friends' stamp by Penny Black. I stamped them on to watercolour paper, along with a sentiment from the 'Egg-cellent Easter Sentiments' set by C. C. Designs, then coloured them using watercolour pencils. I paired them with papers from the 'Bright Freshness' pad by Craft Sensations, distressing the edges a little before adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Bun Bun Easter Treat Bag

I have an Easter treat bag to share today...featuring an older Penny Black stamp called 'Bun Bun'. I stamped her on to watercolour paper, coloured her using watercolour pencils, then cut her out using one of my circle Nesties. I decorated a small kraft gift bag (from Hobbycraft) using papers from the 'Bright Freshness' pad by Craft Sensations...distressing the edges a little before adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Sentiments' set by Hero Arts.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! Today I'm sharing the card that I made for my Mum. I stamped the largest stamp from the Simon Says Stamp 'Sketched Flowers' on to some kraft card using Versamark Ink, along with a sentiment from the 'Sentiments' set by Hero Arts, then heat embossed them using 'Metallic Gold' embossing powder from WOW. I used watercolour pencils to colour the flowers, then matted the panel on to some gold mirror card before adding it to a kraft card blank.

Mini Starz

Today's card features an intricate die set from John Next Door called 'Mini Starz'. I used a selection of snippets of silver mirror card and blue glitter card to cut the shapes, then layered them up, matting the whole thing on to some silver glitter card before adding it to a white card blank. I heat embossed the sentiment (from the 'Winter Blessings' set from the 'Winter White' collection by Crafter's Companion), in silver on a snippet of white card, then matted in on to a snippet of the blue glitter card before adding it to the card using 3D foam pads.

Boo Boo Bear

Today's card features an 'oldie but a goodie' stamp from Whipper Snapper called 'Boo Boo Bear'. I've used him to make a card for my Aunt who fell and broke her wrist, and I thought that Boo Boo with his arm in a sling was just perfect! I stamped him on to watercolour paper, then coloured him using watercolour pencils. I added a sentiment underneath Boo Boo (from the 'Sketched Flowers' set by Simon Says Stamp), then used one fo my circle Nesties to cut him out. I paired him with papers from the Craft Sensations 'Vintage Dreams' pad...distressing all of the edges before adding some faux stitching using my Cutter Bee Bug and a black gel pen.

PBSC March - Anything Goes (Optional 'Bright Colours')...More Inspiration!

It's the third Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for some more inspiration for this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge...where the theme is:

'Anything Goes'
or
'Bright Colours'

As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome 1-2-3 Stitch:
Prize - a $20 voucher!

I used a cute kitty image called 'You're the Bestest!', paired with some brightly coloured papers from an unbranded pad that I picked up in a charity shop, that most likely originally came free with a craft magazine. I stamped the image on to watercolour paper, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I distressed all of the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Bless Your Heart

Today's card features a lovely peony stamp from a new (to me) set by Stamps by Me called 'Bless Your Heart'. I stamped it on to watercolour paper using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it in white. I watercoloured the image using watercolour pencils, added a sentiment (embossed in gold) using a stamp from the 'Signature Greetings' set by Memory Box, then distressed the edges a little before adding it to a kraft card blank.

Floral Happiness

Today's card features stamps from a couple of sets I picked up with a voucher from Pearlywinks Craft Supplies that I won over at Allsorts Challenge a little while ago. It wasn't somewhere that I'd shopped before, and they had stamps from quite a few brands that I hadn't really seen before including this 'Floral Happiness' set by Julie Hickey. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, along with one of the sentiments from another set I got with my prize...'Bless Your Heart' by Stamps by Me. I used watercolour pencils to colour the image, then doodled a simple border before adding the panel to a kraft card blank.

Present Pile

Today's card features an old Lili of the Valley stamp called 'James - Present Pile'...last inked in January 2019, so I thought it was about time he had another outing! I stamped him directly on to a kraft card blank, along with a sentiment from a set also by Lili of the Valley, then coloured him using watercolour pencils.

ABC Christmas Challenge - E, F & G are for?

It's the second Wednesday of a new month, so that means it's time for a new ABC Christmas ChallengeCarol is the host, and the themes are:

'E is for Embossing'
'F is for Fussy & Fancy'
&
'G is for Glitter'

There's a little prize on offer from Carol for the lucky winner:

For my 'E is for Embossing' card, I used stamps from the Woodware 'Sketchy Sprigs' set...stamping them using Versamark Ink on to kraft card, and heat embossing them using WOW 'Metallic Gold Rich' embossing powder. I added a sentiment from the Funky Fossil 'Festive Phrases' set to the centre of the card, then inked around the edge of the panel with more Versamark Ink, and heat embossing that with more of the gold.

I don't tend to add lots of 'stuff' to my cards, so my interpretation of 'Fussy & Fancy' is lots of layers, patterns and colours. I used a Penny Black stamp called 'Brightest Xmas'...stamping it on to watercolour paper, colouring it using watercolour pencils, and adding some Glossy Accents to the baubles. The papers are from the 'Ho Ho Ho Christmas' pad by Polkadoodles...I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment is from the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous.

I am however, a BIG fan of glitter and sparkle on Christmas cards, and picked my 'Big Snowflake' by Colorado Craft Company to heat emboss using 'High Heels' embossing glitter by WOW. It's so sparkly in real life, which also means that it's a pain to get a decent photograph of! The sentiment is from the 'Winter Blessings' set from the 'Winter White' collection by Crafter's Companion.

PBSC March - Anything Goes (Optional 'Bright Colours')!

It's the first Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge...where the theme is:

'Anything Goes'
or
'Bright Colours'

As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome 1-2-3 Stitch:
Prize - a $20 voucher!

I used brightly coloured papers to make the background for my desk calendar page for March. They're actually Christmas papers, from the 'Colourful Christmas' collection by My Mind's Eye...so, so old, and I only have snippets left, so this was a good way to use some of the really little ones. I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The image is 'Totally Excited!'...I stamped it on to some watercolour paper, coloured it using watercolour pencils, then cut it out using one of my circle Nesties.

Bloom & Flight

Today's card features a stamp from Pearlywinks called 'Bloom & Flight'...a gorgeous butterfly that's half butterfly/half flowers. I stamped it on to some deep purple card using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it using 'Metallic Platinum Sparkle' embossing glitter...perhaps not the best choice for showing off the detail of the stamp, but it looks really pretty! I added a heat embossed sentiment (from the 'Signature Greetings' set by Memory Box) to match, then added a border using a gold marker pen. I matted the panel on to some champagne coloured glitter card, before adding it to a matching deep purple card blank.

Let's Party!

Today's card features another stamp set that I picked up recently in a charity shop. It's called 'Let's Party' set from the 'Everyday with Barkley'  collection by Crafter's Companion. I stamped Barkley on to some watercolour paper, along with a couple of the sentiments that came in the set, then coloured him using watercolour pencils. I paired it with papers from the 'Awesome Boy' pad by Recollections/Michaels...distressing all of the edges and adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.
