Blowing Bubbles

Today's card features an elephant stamp from Lili of the Valley called 'Blowing Bubbles'. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, along with a sentiment from the 'Big Messages' set by Paula Pascual, then coloured it using watercolour pencils, adding some Glossy Accents to his bubbles. I paired it with some paper from the 'Peppermint Forest' pad by Craftwork Cards...distressing the edges and adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Gift Tags

I have a couple of simple gift tags to share today, featuring a couple of little Penny Black stamps. I stamped them directly on to kraft tags, and coloured them using watercolour pencils. The 'Happy Birthday' is from the 'Bold Sentiments' set by Lili of the Valley, and I used my Paper Smooches 'Graffiti Alphabet' stamps for the 'Dad'.

Butterfly Bear

Today's card features an old Lili of the Valley stamp called 'Butterfy Bear'. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I paired it with some snippets of papers from the 'Spring Freshness' pad by Craft Sensations...I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Let it Snow Please!

Today's card features another 'new to me' Penny Back stamp...this one is called 'Let it Snow!'. I stamped it directly on to a kraft card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. The sentiment stamp is from a set by the Colorado Craft Company.

Marching Band

Today's card features two more new to me Penny Black stamps...'Suspenseful Music' (the cat) and 'Merry Band' (the rest), which I combined to make a little marching band. I stamped the mice and hedgies first, then added the cat behind them (having masked off the mice from his trombone before stamping). I coloured them using watercolour pencils, then distressed the edges a little before adding the panel to a kraft card blank. The sentiments are from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

I have another simple one layer card to sahre today, featuring a little Hero Arts stamp I picked up ages ago in a charity shop, called 'Ladybug Border'. I stamped it along the bottom of a kraft card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Wonderful Day' set by Penny Black.

I have an ultra simple one layer Christmas card to share today, featuring another 'new to me' Penny Black stamp called 'Brightest Xmas'. I stamped it directly on to a kraft card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. Today's card features a 'new to me' Penny Black stamp called 'Fish are Jumpin'. I added some faux stitching using a CutterBee Bug and a black pen, then added it to a kraft card blank using 3D foam tape.

Today's card features a cute kitty stamp from the 'Bubbly' set by Penny Black. I stamped him on to a snippet of watercolour paper, coloured him using watercolour pencils, then cut him out. I used more snippets of card to make a background for him...cutting the grass using one of my 'Stitched Hillside' border dies (by Lawn Fawn), and a few clouds using my Memory Box 'Puffy Clouds' dies. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

I have a simple Christmas card to share today, featuring some Penny Black chickens...the stamp is called 'Par Avion'. I stamped it directly on to a kraft card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils, adding a Lili of the Valley sentiment underneath.

Constellations

Today's card features my favourite colour...blue! I blended 'Faded Jeans' & Stormy Sky' Distress Inks on to a scrap of card, then stamped a Hero Arts music background stamp over the top a couple of times using 'Chipped Sapphire', and spritzed the whole thing with a little water. Once dry, I stamped my Penny Black Constellations stamp over the top using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it in white. I distressed the edges a little, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a white gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Go To Words' set by Visible Image.

40th Birthday

Today's card is the one I've made for my brother's birthday...it's not until next Friday, but he's not likely to see it on here. He likes cars, so I picked a Penny Black image (from the 'Hello Friend' set) of a pup driving a sports car. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, coloured it using watercolour pencils, then carefully cut it out. I used snippets of coloured card, to create a country road scene for him to drive through...cutting a grassy verge using one of my Die-namics 'Grassy Edge' dies, and adding a white line down the centre of the road using a white gel pen. I made a '40' speed limit sign using more snippets of card, and some Nesties, adding the numbers using stamps from the 'Birthday Bears' set (also by Penny Black). The clouds were cut using my Memory Box 'Puffy Clouds' dies, and the sentiment is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

ABC Christmas Challenge - J & K are for?

It's the first Wednesday of a new month, so that means it's time for a new ABC Christmas Challenge! Dorte is the host, and the themes are:

'J is for Jewels'

There's a fab prize on offer from Dorte for the lucky winner of this challenge:

I picked a Woodware stamp called 'Trio of Trees' for my 'J is for Jewels' card. I stamped it on a kraft card blank, using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it gold, along with the sentiment from the set. I paper pieced the trees, stamping and embossing in gold on to snippets of green card. I then added lots of adhesive 'jewels' to decorate the trees.

On my 'K is for Kids' card, I used one of the Lili of the Valley 'Christmas Kids' pre-coloured die cuts...trimming it down into a circle shape using one of my Nesties. I paired it with some vintage-y papers from the 'Jingle All the Way' pad by First Edition...distressing the edges a little and adding faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a white gel pen. The snowflake was cut using a Memory Box die, and is held in place using an old BasicGrey brad.

I used a piece of snowy sky paper from the 'Mystery Marbles' pad by Craft Sensations for the background, adding a snowy mound for the hedgies to stand on cut from a snippet of white card using one of my Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Hillside Border' dies. I added a sentiment from a set by Lili of the Valley, and matted it on to some silver mirror card.
