Sunset Meadows

I have an inky card to share today...inspired by the Sunset' prompt for this week's Less is More Challenge. I started by masking off the bottom of a piece of card using a torn piece of card, then stamped and embossed my Blooming Meadows stamp across the centre. The I blended various colours of Distress Ink over the top to create a sunset effect (from the top down - Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, Stormy Sky, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries). I then inked the edges using 'Brushed Corduroy' Distress Ink, and added a sentiment (from the 'Social Butterfly' set by Penny Black).

  7. Wow! This is a stunner! I am so impressed at how beautifully you did that ombre effect with such different colors. What a smooth transition and it replicates a sunset so well. I also really like how the flowers are white as a focal point and the "Wonderful" sentiment is so simple, yet so incredible versatile. It says it all and I can imagine this card being used in so many different scenarios. Excellent work on this and I'm so glad you shared it with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

  14. Beautiful card, Helen. This Hero Arts meadows stamp is one of my favourite too. You have done beautiful heat embossing with that and inking with distress ink is just fab. Lovely summer scene.
Thanks so much for joining us at Artistic stamper this month.
