Now I'm not usually a 'less is more' kind of crafter, but I thought I'd have a go at making some 'clean & simple' cards. These are going to a charity that my Aunt works for...I've already donated a box of cards...but she asked for some 'non-cute' ones. I embossed a couple of squares of plain white card using my 'Victoria' and 'Swiss Dots' folders, leaving a channel for the ribbon (from Poppicrafts). Then I stamped the sentiment (from a little Studio G set) on to a circle, which I matted a few times on to alternating plain and scalloped circles. To finish off, I tied a bow around the length of ribbon I'd attached around the embossed card.
I'm going to make a few more of these...in some different colours...but am off to have a browse for design ideas first...
These are fabulous hun - like you, I don't normally do clean and simple, but these are stunning in their simplicity. Very stylish and should sell like hot cakes. Squirrel xx
