Merry & Bright!

I have a Christmas card to share today featuring a stamp from the Penny Black 'Joy to the World' set. I coloured the image using watercolour pencils, then carefully cut it out. For the background, I used a snippet left over from making one of these cards that I'd made by 'splodging' Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon & Blueprint Sketch) on to wet watercolour paper. I stamped by Simon Says Stamp 'Falling Snow' background stamp using Versamark Ink on to it, then heat embossed it in white. I matted  it on to a snippet of navy card, then added the animals over the top popped up on 3D foam pads. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous.

  5. Oh Helen, what a delightful Christmas card! Oddly enough, I just bought a background snow stamp - great idea to emboss with white EP, I was wondering how I'd get a strong enough image on a darker background!
