Rambling Rose

Today's card features an old Penny Black stamp that I picked up last weekend in a charity shop called 'Rambling Rose'. I stamped her on to watercolour paper, then coloured her using watercolour pencils. I paired her with a snippet of flowery paper from the 'Watercolour Feelings' pad from The Works. I distressed all of the edges, then added some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen.

Christmas Hugs

I have another Christmas card to share today...featuring a couple of pups from the 'Christmas Hugs' set by Penny Black. I stamped them on to a snippet of watercolour paper, coloured them using watercolour pencils, then carefully cut them out. For the background, I layered a piece of snowflake paper (from the 'Glittering Snowflakes' pad by Crafter's Companion) on to a snippet of navy card, then added a snippet of white card...tearing the top edge to give a 'snowy' effect...along the bottom. I cut a star (using a die from the 'Snowy Stars' set by Tim Holtz for Sizzix) and sentiment (using a Poppy Stamps die called 'Folksy Merry Christmas') from snippets of silver mirror card, and popped those on to the snowy background, then added the dogs using 3D foam pads.

Rose Stem Script

Today's card features a stamp from a lovely Chocolate Baroque set called 'Rose Stem Script' that I won over at the Allsorts Challenge last month. I stamped the image on to a kraft card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Sketched Flowers' set by Simon Says Stamp.

Shimmering Snowflakes

Today's card features a Simon Says Stamp background stamp, coloured using some Cosmic Shimmers watercolour paints that I picked up yesterday in a charity shop. I stamped the 'Outline Snowflakes' stamp on to black card using Versamark Ink, heat embossed it using 'Metallic Silver' embossing powder from WOW, then coloured it using the Cosmic Shimmers watercolour paints. I heat embossed a sentiment (from the 'Festive Phrases' set by Funky Fossil) in matching silver, then matted everything on to silver mirror card, then on to a white card blank.

The paints are really shimmery in real life...so therefore a nightmare to get a decent photo of!

Urban Butterflies

Today's card features all three of the stamps from the 'Butterflies' set from the Urban Stamps range from Papermania. I stamped them on to watercolour paper, adding a sentiment from the 'Go To Words' set by Visible Image, then coloured them using watercolour pencils. I distressed the edges a little, then added the panel to a kraft card blank.

Birthday Dog

Today's card features one of my oldest (and most loved) Penny Black stamps...'Birthday Dog'. I stamped it directly on to the card blank, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I cut a wave in the edge of a snippet of paper from the 'Yes, Please' pad by American Crafts using one of my Lawn Fawn 'Stitched Hillside Borders' dies, then added that to the top of the card. I added a sentiment using one of the stamps from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts, and a few pieces of pink Card Candi using 3D foam pads.

Xmas Pilgrims

I have a Christmas card to share today, featuring an old Penny Black stamp called 'Xmas Pilgrims'. I stamped it on to a snippet of white card, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I distressed the edges, then matted it on to a snippet of red card...distressing the edges of that too. The sentiment stamp is form the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous.

I picked the floral stamp 'Together' for my card...inking it with Distress Inks (Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Mowed Lawn & Rustic Wilderness), then spritzing with a little water before stamping on to watercolor paper a couple of times. I added a sentiment using a stamp from the 'Signature Greetings ' set from Memory Box, heat embossing it using 'Metallic Gold Rich's embossing powder from WOW. I distressed the edges of the panel a little, then added it to a DL kraft card blank.

ABC Christmas - N & O are for?

It's the second Wednesday of a new month, so that means it's time for a new ABC Christmas Challenge! Lynda is the host, and the themes are:

For my 'No Layers' card, I stamped a Penny Black chicken stamp, called 'Brightest Xmas', directly on to a kraft card blank, along with a sentiment using a stamp from the 'Scribbly Christmas' set by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous. I coloured the image using watercolour pencils, then added some shine to the lights using Glossy Accents.

The stamps I used on my 'O is for Ornaments' card are from the 'Festive Flurries - Baubles & Bows' set by Creative Expressions. I stamped them on to black card using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them using 'Metallic Gold Sparkle' embossing glitter from WOW. I used a Versark pen to draw a 'string' for each of the ornaments, then heat embossed those, along with the sentiment from the same stamp set, using 'Gold Pearl' embossing powder, also from WOW. I matted the panel on to some gold mirror card, then added it to a black card blank.

White Christmas

Today, I have an all white Christmas card to share, featuring a Sizzix 3D 'Snowflakes' embossing folder. I used it to emboss a snippet of white card, then distressed the edges. I cut the sentiment, using a Creative Expressions die, from another snippet of white card, then added a touch of sparkle to it using a Wink of Stella pen.

Today's card features an old (and rather neglected) Whipper Stamp called 'Moo'd Swing', that to my shame, had not inked up since April 2018! I stamped her on to a kraft card blank, then coloured her using watercolour pencils. The sentiment is from one of the stamps (the cow) from Tim Holtz's 'Funny Farm' set for Stampers Anonymous.

I inked it up with Distress Inks (Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire & Dusty Concord), then stamped it on to watercolour paper. I added a sentiment from the 'Go To Words' set by Visible Image, then distressed the edges before adding the panel to a kraft card blank.
